Go Ask Alice

I've been wanting to read this book for awhile now and since Kiersten just read it, I borrowed it. The book is based on the actual diary of a fifteen-year-old drug user in the 1960's.


It's shocking to see how the other kids in her school pressured her to do drugs which ended up changing her life. This book is a must read!


The title "Go Ask Alice" was taken from the song "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane (one of my all-time favorite songs).


I was listening to my ipod while reading the last few pages of the book. When I read the very last page, I realized White Rabbit was playing. WEIRD!!!

SYNOPSIS

It started when she was served a soft drink with LSD in a dangerous party game. Within months, she was hooked, trapped in a downward spiral that took her from her comfortable home and loving family to the mean streets of an unforgiving city.
